1.Hip Hop:
My favorite dance type! Hip hop involves large movements of the entire body, which places it high on the expenditure scale. It also often involves free styling, meaning that muscle groups are kept guessing and are less likely to stop responding to the exercise or hit a plateau. In 60 minutes, hip hop will use between 370 (for people with lighter body weights) to 610 (for those weighing 180 and up) . Open your laptop, take lessons from youtube(best teacher) for a beginner.

2.Salsa:

Again at the top of my charts. This ravishingly dazzlingly sensuous dance arouses sexy dancer in you by just a look of it. You need to build up connection with your partner and understanding of every beat.It is also been said that it boosts your mental strength. Roughly 405 per 60 minutes for someone weighing 140, or around 480 for a 180 lb person.Be confident..go salsa in 2014!

3.Ballet:
This form of dance tends to be associated with great posture, a strong core, increased flexibility and very strong legs. It is known for building that long and lean look that women so often strive for, but make no mistake; ballet requires a great deal of strength. We estimate that there are 380 to 450 ballet calories burnt per hour. Next time if you want to learn ballet doesn't matter you are a boy or a girl,Point your toes babe :P
4. Ballroom dance:
Very very classy dance..gives you no less than some royal feeling! This dance is a symbolic how much you love your partner,no doubt every couple dance requires sync with your partner but how many calories does ballroom dancing burn? – Slower paced styles will expend between 150 and 220, while quicker types will range between 250 and 320 per hour.
The Cha Cha is a lively, flirtatious ballroom dance full of passion and energy.

The Foxtrot is a ballroom dance that is lots of fun and simple to learn...an excellent dance for beginners.

Jive is a ballroom dance style that originated in the United States from African-Americans. It is a lively form of Swing dance.

The Paso Doble is one of the liveliest ballroom dances, originating in southern France. It is modeled after the sound, drama, and movement of the Spanish bullfight.

Shake..shake that belly gurl! sexy way loosing your belly fat..works on me.Once you got the basic step of grooving your belly to beats there will be no problem after that.I think it's not that difficult, full bellilitious yummy tummy shaker dance. It also involves movement of hips, hands, shoulders and back. Hence a complete package of staying fit.I have read few articles saying belly dancing aids digestion, clears skin complexion i don't know how this works but yeah other benefits include improving sleep, improving memory and decreasing back-pain. Not only it calories burned – Roughly 270-320 for less intense versions, and between 290 and 360 for faster & higher intensity styles.

6.Tap:
Tap dance is all about how you move your lower body-legs and feet! This ends up being a full body cardio workout but the legs do the bulk of the work. This one has a high amount of variance in expenditure estimations; between 200 and 700 depending on pace, steps per hour, and the amount of effort required for the moves.
